CS2 Skin Glossary

Battle-Scarred

The most worn CS2 condition. Float 0.45-1.00. Cheapest tier but some patterns hide wear better than others.

Factory New

The cleanest wear condition in CS2. Float values 0.00-0.07. Factory New skins are the most expensive and visually pristine.

Field-Tested

Mid-tier CS2 wear condition with float 0.15-0.38. The most common condition and usually the best price point.

Minimal Wear

CS2 wear condition with float 0.07-0.15. Minimal scratches, often visually similar to Factory New at 30-50% less cost.

Well-Worn

CS2 wear condition with float 0.38-0.45. Visible damage and fading. Often cheaper than Battle-Scarred for some patterns.

Float Value

A number between 0.00 and 1.00 that defines the exact wear of a CS2 skin. Lower floats look cleaner and sell for more.

Souvenir Skin

A CS2 skin that drops only at Valve Major tournaments and carries tournament stickers from that match.

StatTrak

A CS2 weapon variant that tracks your kill count. StatTrak skins typically sell for 10-30% more than the standard version.

Liquidity Score

A 0-100 score on Skinstrack that estimates how quickly a CS2 skin sells. Higher is faster.

Market Hash Name

The canonical Steam identifier for any CS2 item. Used by every marketplace and API to look up the exact skin variant.
