Terms of Service

1. What Skinstrack Does

Skinstrack aggregates data collected from publicly accessible sources and presents them in one place. The platform lets you:

• Browse and compare live and historical prices across supported marketplaces
• Track a personal inventory and monitor the value of skins you own
• Set price alerts that notify you when an item hits a target price
• Access structured skin price data through our API and embed it in your own projects

Skinstrack is purely an informational tool. We do not buy, sell, broker, or facilitate the transfer of any in-game items or real-world currency.

2. Payments & Billing

Access to the Skinstrack API is sold as a one-time purchase that grants access for a fixed period. There is no automatic renewal and no recurring billing. Each payment provides access for the selected duration, after which access expires unless a new purchase is made.

All payments are charged upfront at the time of purchase. Applicable taxes, VAT, or local levies may be added at checkout depending on your location.

By purchasing access to the Service, you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that you lose your statutory right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed or accessed.

All payments are final and non-refundable.

Notwithstanding the above, we may, at our sole discretion, offer a refund if:

• no API requests have been made using your account, and
• the refund request is submitted within 48 hours of purchase.

Refund eligibility is void if any API request has been processed using your API key.

Downgrading, upgrading, or purchasing a new access period does not entitle you to any refund for a previously purchased period.

3. API Keys & Account Security

When you subscribe, we issue you a personal API key. This key is tied to your account and your plan limits. You are fully responsible for keeping it confidential - do not embed it in public repositories, share it with other people, or sell access to it. Any requests made using your key count against your quota and are your responsibility, even if made by someone else. If you believe your key has been compromised, regenerate it immediately from your dashboard.

4. What You Can Build

You are welcome to use the Skinstrack API to power your own projects - bots, trading tools, portfolio trackers, Discord bots, or any application that adds value on top of the data. What is not allowed:

• Re-exporting or reselling the raw data as a standalone data product or competing API
• Scraping or mirroring our website or API responses beyond normal fair use
• Automated hammering of endpoints beyond your plan's rate limit, regardless of intent
• Using the data to facilitate fraud, market manipulation, or any illegal activity

If you are unsure whether your use case falls within these boundaries, reach out before building - we are generally happy to accommodate reasonable cases.

5. Price Data & Marketplace Sources

The prices shown on Skinstrack are pulled from third-party marketplace platforms that we do not operate and have no business relationship with. Prices reflect what sellers are asking at the time we last fetched the data - they are not guaranteed to be current, correct, or achievable by the time you act on them. Market conditions can change rapidly. Always verify prices directly on the relevant marketplace before making any financial decision.

We aggregate and normalize this data through our own pipeline, which is proprietary. The underlying item names, images, and game assets belong to Valve Corporation and are used solely for identification purposes. Skinstrack is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve Corporation.

6. Uptime & Data Freshness

We run Skinstrack with high-availability infrastructure, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime. Third-party marketplaces sometimes go offline, change their formats, or block data collection without warning - when that happens, affected price feeds may lag or disappear until we adapt. Planned maintenance windows will be communicated in advance where possible. We are not liable for losses arising from service interruptions or stale data, regardless of their cause. You acknowledge that trading virtual items involves risk and price volatility.

7. Your Responsibilities

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or purchase a subscription.
• You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Skinstrack complies with the laws of your country and with the terms of any third-party platforms you interact with.
• You may not use the platform to harass, impersonate, or harm other users.
• Any content you submit (alerts, inventory labels, support messages) must not contain unlawful material, spam, or malicious code.

8. Ending Access

Skinstrack API plans are billed as a flat one-time payment per period - there is no recurring subscription, no automatic renewal, and no per-call charges. Each payment grants access for one billing period. When that period expires, access stops automatically and you are never charged again unless you choose to purchase another period. There is nothing to cancel.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the infrastructure, or engage in fraudulent behaviour. In cases of serious abuse, access may be ended immediately and without prior warning. After termination, your API key is revoked and any cached data we hold about your account may be deleted.

9. Liability & Disclaimers

Skinstrack is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind - express, implied, or statutory. We specifically disclaim any warranty that the data is accurate, complete, timely, or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing on this platform constitutes financial or investment advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skinstrack's total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days prior to the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or speculative damages of any kind. This limitation applies to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

You agree to hold Skinstrack harmless from any third-party claims, losses, or legal fees arising from your own use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Getting Help

Support is available to all active subscribers via email and our Discord server. We aim to respond within one business day for standard plans. If you are on an Growth plan, faster response times and a dedicated contact are part of your agreement. For general questions before subscribing, our Discord community is the best place to start.

11. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our product, legal requirements, or business practices. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will post a notice on our Discord or send an email to active subscribers. Continuing to use Skinstrack after a revision takes effect means you accept the new Terms.
