What is Battle-Scarred in CS2?
Battle-Scarred (BS) is the worst wear condition in CS2, with float values from 0.45 to 1.00. Skins in this tier show extensive scratches, heavy fading, and major texture loss. The 0.55-wide float window makes Battle-Scarred the most common tier alongside Field-Tested.
When Battle-Scarred is still worth buying
Some skins look surprisingly clean in Battle-Scarred because their base pattern hides wear well (e.g. AWP Asiimov, AK-47 Vulcan). Low-float Battle-Scarred skins (close to 0.45) often look like Well-Worn at a steep discount. For very rare skins, Battle-Scarred is sometimes the only affordable entry point.
